Fatima cooking style and philosophy:
My cooking style is simple, comforting and flavor-focused. I believe great food does not have to be complicated it just needs the right balance of quality ingredients, seasoning and care.
I enjoy creating meals that feel familiar and satisfying while adding my own creative touch. Potatoes are one of my favourite ingredients to work with because they are versatile and can be transformed into different exciting dishes.
I also enjoy working with fresh vegetables, chicken, herbs and spices to create meals that are colourful, hearty, and enjoyable for everyone.
How Fatima handles criticisms:
I see criticism as an opportunity to learn and improve. Whenever customers, friends or family members share feedback, I listen carefully and try to understand their perspective.
Rather than taking criticism personally, I use it to identify areas where I can improve, whether it’s presentation, seasoning, portion size or overall customer experience.
I believe growth comes from being willing to learn and every piece of useful feedback helps me become more confident and skilled in my cooking journey.
What led Fatima to become a chef / cook:
My journey into cooking started from a genuine love for creating meals that bring people together. I am the founder of Potato Place, a small food brand focused on serving delicious potato-based meals and comfort food.
Although I am not a professionally trained chef, I have spent years learning, experimenting with recipes and improving my cooking skills through practice and feedback. What inspires me most is seeing people enjoy a meal I’ve prepared and knowing that food can create memorable moments.
Cooking allows me to express my creativity and it has grown from a passion into something I hope to continue building and sharing with more people.
