About Okwesili somadina 's work:
Okwesili somadina cooking style and philosophy:
My cooking style is centered on creating flavorful, comforting meals that bring people together. I believe good food should not only satisfy hunger but also create memorable experiences. I enjoy combining creativity with traditional cooking techniques, paying close attention to taste, presentation, and quality ingredients.I particularly enjoy working with Nigerian and continental cuisines, as they allow me to showcase rich flavors and diverse cooking methods. I love using fresh ingredients such as seafood, prawns, chicken, vegetables, herbs, and spices to create dishes that are both delicious and visually appealing. As a chef, I am always eager to learn new recipes, explore different culinary cultures, and refine my skills to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
How Okwesili somadina handles criticisms:
I see criticism and feedback as valuable tools for growth. When customers, colleagues, or supervisors give feedback about my food, I listen carefully with an open mind and a positive attitude. Rather than taking criticism personally, I use it as an opportunity to understand what can be improved.I pay attention to comments about taste, presentation, portion size, consistency, and overall dining experience. After receiving feedback, I evaluate my cooking process, make necessary adjustments, and continue practicing to improve my skills. Constructive criticism has helped me become more detail-oriented, creative, and confident as a chef. My goal is always to learn, grow, and consistently provide the best possible experience through my food.
What led Okwesili somadina to become a chef / cook:
While growing,my aunt started teaching me how to Cook at the age of 8 years old, after my secondary school and worked at some eateries as a kitchen assistant, from there to a baby cook from a baby cook to a cook and from a cook to assistant chef to a chef it hasn't been easy though, but all I can say is cooking is in me,when ever I'm the kitchen it gives me so much joy cooking for people, it's just a hobby I enjoy doing so much
