My cooking style is simple, flavorful, and creative. I enjoy making meals that bring comfort and make people happy. I especially love working with Nigerian and continental dishes, using fresh ingredients, spices, rice, chicken, and seafood. My philosophy is that good food should taste great, look appealing, and bring people together.
How Abital handles criticisms:
I see criticism as an opportunity to learn and improve. I listen carefully to feedback, identify areas where I can do better, and apply those lessons in my future cooking. Every comment helps me refine my skills, improve my dishes, and become a better chef.
What led Abital to become a chef / cook:
Growing up in Nigeria, food was always more than just something to eat. The kitchen was a place where family gathered, stories were shared, and love was shown through cooking. From a young age, I was fascinated by how simple ingredients could be turned into something special.
As I got older, I found myself spending more time watching people cook, helping out in the kitchen, and experimenting with recipes. What started as curiosity quickly became a passion. I loved seeing the smiles on people's faces when they enjoyed a meal I had prepared.
Although I studied Business Management and Administration, my love for cooking never faded. In fact, it grew stronger. I realized that being a chef would allow me to combine my creativity, hard work, and desire to make people happy.
Today, cooking is not just a skill for me—it's a way of expressing myself and bringing people together. Every meal I prepare tells a story, and my journey as a chef is only just beginning.
